Church of Videferre
The church of Videferre was reconstructed in the last quarter of XIX century based on a project of the architect Daniel Garcia Vaamonde, since the previous baroque temple was almost totally destroyed as a consequence of a hurricane. The parish church, with a Latin cross, has an original façade carved in good quality stone. Sacristy added between the north chapel and the presbytery. The façade, eclectic in style, places a semi circular arch curving over the main door, crowned by an open pediment. In the intermediate section a circular oculus between ver-tical engaged columns with a superior frieze of small arches of imitation lombard under the cornice. On the summit a steeple of two twin arches with a treble clove-shaped open-ing and ending with an iron cross. On the side walls, three windows framed in flat strips. In the interior do not miss the baroque image of the Piety, attributed to the Master of So-brado, who holds his dead son in his arms.
